Frequently asked questions
Do you have any questions? We have got you covered.
How far ahead can I plan my trip?
You can plan trips up to 24 months in advance. Real forecasts cover the first couple of weeks. Beyond that and out to about 7 months, we use extended-range seasonal estimates, and past that we use climatology — historical weather data — to show you what weather to expect at that time of year.
What's the difference between forecast, extended-range, and climatology?
Forecast data is a real prediction for the upcoming couple of weeks. Extended-range is a seasonal model estimate covering dates out to about 7 months. Climatology uses historical weather from past years to estimate typical conditions for dates further out than that — a pattern, not a prediction.
Can I have overlapping stops in different cities?
Yes! If you're spending the morning in one city and afternoon in another, you can add overlapping date ranges. We'll show weather for both locations on the same day.
How do I share my trip with others?
Every trip gets a unique shareable URL. Anyone with the link can view your trip's weather calendar - perfect for sharing with travel companions or wedding guests.
Do I need an account to create a trip?
You can start building a trip right away without signing up. Create an account to save your trips and access them from any device.
How accurate is the historical weather data?
We use 10+ years of historical observations to calculate averages. While it won't predict exact conditions, it gives you reliable expectations for temperature ranges and precipitation likelihood.
Where does your weather data come from?
Our forecasts are powered by data from leading national weather services and meteorological agencies, including NOAA (U.S.), ECMWF (Europe), DWD (Germany), Météo-France, Environment Canada, and more. For each location, we combine the best-performing models to deliver the most accurate forecast possible.
